Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Gill stated that empowerment and autonomy of women and the improvement of their political, social, economic and health status is a highly important. She said that we need to give equal opportunities to women for equal pay, equal respect as equal to men. She further added this is a tradition of worshiping many female goddesses, including honoring woman roles in society such as mother, aunt, wife, and other female relatives or friends. But it doesn’t mean that the country’s need for growth can only be fulfilled by respecting or honoring women. It needs equality in every way of life for the rest of the country’s half population.
